1. Do you like hot chocolate or egg nog? I prefer hot chocolate

2. Does Santa wrap presents or just put them under the tree? Santa is so magical he leaves his things displayed for all to see.

3. Colored or white lights on tree/house? That's a funny question... As a child I fought for colored lights. I thought it was too plain to have just white lights. Now as an adult and a mother, I use white lights, this year I added a little color by using pearly gold lights.

4. When do you put up your decorations? Well, before the girls began dancing, I would always put up the Christmas decorations the weekend after Thanksgiving... Now, we have Nutcracker all that weekend and we try to get the decorations up as soon as we can.

5. What is your favorite holiday dish? I love our Christmas Breakfast that we have every Christmas morning. It's the one time of the year that I make any possible breakfast food...

6. What is your favorite holiday memory from your childhood? Coming home late Christmas eve from our family Christmas get together at our Papa's & Nanny's. It was always cold and we would look out the windows hoping to get a glipse of Santa Clause. I remember the butterflies in my stomach knowing that Santa would be coming soon.

7. Do you open a gift on Christmas eve? Our family opens up one gift Christmas Eve... They are always pajamas. The girls love that tradition. We also have our family get together Christmas eve and presents are opened. (this year we are having it earlier because we are expecting a new little baby boy to our family... Can't wait to see our new nephew, Nick & Jessie)

8. How do you decorate your Christmas tree? With ornaments from my first Christmas that we were married, all of my children's ornaments and many of the ornaments from my childhood... My mom is slowly giving up our ornaments. It's nice. I love all the ornaments, they each bring back memories.

9. Snow! Love it or dread it? I love snow from a distance. Living in a place where it only snows once every few years, I would like to see it more often, but I have no desire to live around it all the time. 15 minutes of it is enough for me.

10. Do you remember your favorite gift? I don't really remember gifts that I have received... My husband and I don't really exchange gifts, that's not really important to me. I love all the other things about Christmas. Though, I remember a gift I wanted to love but couldn't. She was the beautiful friend of Strawberry shortcake, her name was something like Apricot or she smelled like apricots. Everytime I played with her the apricot smell that would billow from her mouth when I squeezed her tummy would make me so sick. I wanted to love her but I just couldn't. It has been my most memorable gift.

11. What is the most important thing about the holidays for you? Family is so important to me and getting together. Also to teach my children that Christmas is about the birth of Christ and celebrating that by giving to others and serving others during this time.

12. What is your favorite Holiday dessert? I don't eat very many desserts... BUT, I do like my chocolate trifle with raspberries, blackberries, and strawberries... mmm so good.

13. What is your favorite holiday tradition? Watching Luke II christmas eve before the kids go to bed, and our family get together.

14. What tops your tree? A star this year....But, usually it's ribbon. I couldn't find my Ribbon this year.

15. Which do you prefer: giving or receiving? I feel so strange receiving gifts. I feel guilty that the person spent money on me. I love gifts that are simple and made. I love giving gifts more. I love seeing them open them and being excited for what they got. I mainly like getting gifts for children. I did receive some gifts from my recent graduation and I really enjoyed recieving those... I think it's because I worked so hard to reach my goal so I didn't really feel that same guilt. I know I'm a little strange.

16. What is your favorite Christmas song? I love so many Christmas songs... Our family's favorite is Little drummer Boy right now.

17.Candy canes? Candy canes I believe are over-rated!!!!!!! They are gross. I keep trying to like them but I can't. I did find some cool ones this year, they are candy canes that turn into bubble gum, no lie. they were pretty cool.

18. Secret Santa? I can't really appreciate secret santa... nobody in my family can keep a secret.

19. Favorite Christmas movie? Ummm I love the Little House On the Prairie Christmas episode.

20. Can you ice skate? I can but it hurts my ankles. I've only been once.

I think we are a lot alike. I was the same with lights when I was a kid (BTW - where did you get the golden lights?? I want to try them), I feel funny telling people it's my birthday because I don't want them to feel like they have to buy me anything and I had the EXACT same doll. However, she did't make me sick. I think my Mom probably still has it.

Have a Merry Christmas! Hope to see you soon!
