This past week both our girls were at Girls Camp…. So that meant the adults got to go play. We found a cabin and went up to north GA. We started in Helen and said Hello to a few bears that are retired and all they have to do is lay around and eat.
We LOVED our Cabin—it was secluded and quiet. We were asleep by 10:00. That’s SOOO very early.
We Then headed over to Tallulah Gorge. 1022 steps in all—Down was hard but not near as hard as up. 3 miles around—It was a great day, but made me realize that I need to start walking again.
After Tallulah---We went over to Brass Town Bald mountain. You can see Ga, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee at the same time. It was a beautiful view.
We just happen—to come to Helen when they were having the Hotair Balloon festival. It was great watching the balloons preparing to go up.
It was our first time getting away for the first time on our own with no children. I know it’s sad, but One day all too soon they will be grown and have their own families, so it was nice to take advantage of them being away without leaving them… I think we’ll do it again, it can be our yearly tradition, where to go next year hmmmmmm!
