Another Furlough

Fulough--U.S. A layoff of workers, especially one that is temporary. (no $)

We've had a total of 6 days this year.

We are at the end of the year. Only 2 more days of school.

Furlough days Friday (today), Monday, go back to school on Tuesday and Wednesday then Teacher post-planning days Thursday and Friday.

I can't say that I'm angry about losing money and furlough days.

I'll just say that they are extra days off.

I've needed them desperately!!!!

Being a Special Education teacher....

Let's just say we've had meeting after meeting after meeting.

Writing IEP's (individual education plans)

Getting summer packets together for the 17 children (k-5) that I service.

Getting grades together.

and packing up the room somewhere in there... (haven't started this)

I love what I do.

But, I'm going to go sit on the beach and not think about what I do.

Patrick has to stay home--he has not been furloughed (sp).

But, the girls and I and our dear friends will have a BLAST!!!

Then, I can come back and be refreshed to deal with my 5th graders...

they already think they rule the world--

What's up with that age???
