Do birthdays change as we get older.
Every year in a child's life the birthday is looked forward to.
The Cake
The Party
The Friends
and of course
The Presents.....
Patrick and I have never really been ones to do presents for each other...
#1--I never really know what I want.
#2--Presents don't really mean that much, I care more about spending time with the person!
I hate buying presents for adults at Christmas time.
It's for children... I've felt that way for a long time.
I feel wierd opening presents.
I guess it's the same for birthdays for me.
Patrick doesn't really care about presents either.
He just wants to play the Playstation and his Modern Warfare game.
The one that he wants me to play with him....
But, I alway die.... So WHY PLAY!!!
I don't like the blood smeared glasses.
I can't see very well so how am I really supposed to protect myself or him.
I'll probably have to play before the day is over! Anyway--
So back to Birthdays.
I made Patrick Chili---It's what he wanted...
He would have wanted Lasagna--but, I don't make it anymore since I can't eat it.
Is that selfish of me.
Well he's getting Chili...
We'll probably go to a movie or dinner on his day off this week.
This post is really "rambly"
I guess it's good to be happy with the simple things.
I have friends who go all out for their spouses b-day.
I've gotten on to Patrick for never really getting me presents.
But, it's my fault because I tell him that I don't want anything.
So, in return, I don't get anything for him.
Except a dinner that he enjoys, and time to play that horrible game.
So here's the question----
Am I a horrible person who doesn't go all out for b-days????
If I am, I'm too old to change!!!!
So, here's a special b-day wish to the man that I love more than anything else.
Happy Birthday Sweetheart!!!!
I'm glad that you were born.
I couldn't imagine you not there with me each day!!!
Good thing for Eternity!!!
Hope I don't get sick of you! :)
