Every year we have a Family Halloween Party.
The kids look forward to it every year.
It's crazy that the kids are now...
12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 6, 2, and 2...and one that will be born in just a few months.
They love getting together.
Anyway, this year it was going to be the Best...
With the kids getting older, the grandparents are becoming more inventive.
This year there was going to be a treasure hunt, bucking bronco, throw the ball through the hoop, a haunted hayride/trick or treating.
We also had a party for Logan who turned 8 yesterday.
With all the rain, the kids were able to play on the bucking bronco and they went on the treasure hunt and they also did the pinata. (all in the rain)
The bucking bronco was a cut log that my dad put I-bolts in and tied it to three trees with rope. They put a saddle on the log. when the kids got on the saddle the other kids would move the three ropes to try and knock the other person off.
This was the one thing the kids played on even through the rain!!!!
Oh... and my kids were the only ones dressed up. The others didn't dress up because of the rain, it would have been nice to have been told this, but that's okay because the girls were dang cute!!!!
Anna was a Fish Aquarium....
and Kat was a Candy girl...
(she wore a pick pocket apron and let the kids pick candy and treats from the apron)

Yep, it was fun! We tried to call to tell you about the dress up part. You had a nice practic run for the real event!! I need to get to bed!!!
That looks like so much fun. You always come up with the cutest costumes for your girls. I still have NO CLUE what most of my kids will be. Probably something very generic.
Oh, I just saw your little countdown to graduation on your sidebar. That is so exciting!!! You have worked so hard. Good luck with everything!
We had fun too....even in the rain it was a lot of fun!! Your girls were awesome in their costumes!
I wonder what you will come up with next year :)
