I love my Dad!!!!
Let me explain....
I have been busy busy busy with school, family, school and more school.
I just started student teaching, which feels like a job...
But, with no pay!
I haven't worked in 12 years...
So, a lot of my life is put on hold.
One of those things has been my yard.
Our backyard floods periodically with heavy rain.
My dad was going to help me put in another french drain to save my
home from flooding, which it does along with the yard.
We discovered that my neighbor behind me directs his runoff water directly into my yard.
Believe me it's not fun with water up to your calf/knee area trying to save your home.
Anyway... There is a tropical storm heading our way.
My dad called me this morning asking me what I was going to do.
My reply was.... I guess it'll Flood. I don't have time to do anything.
I was on my way to my school at the time.
Well I came home at about 4:30.
And there was my dad, my uncle Alan and my brother mark putting in
our wall and french drain.
It's almost done. We'll put some more work into it on Saturday and Get it Finished!!!
YEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just wanted everyone to know that I have the BEST DAD in the WORLD!!!!

I agree you have an AMAZING dad and he has come to our rescue numerous amounts of time as well!!!
The french drain looks AWESOME..and what a blessing for you guys that they were able to come over and help out!!!
I agree too, I like your dad. I really just wanted to tell you it's not to late to have a boy :) I'm j/k but you can always borrow one of mine :)
Dads are the best! I love my mom, but I am a daddies girl thru and thru!!
Your dad is pretty great! I'm glad that you're not going to flood, hopefully we won't get toooo much rain this weekend!

Thanks for posting the pic of them. I haven't seen them in so long that it's nice to have a visual again.
Real love!!! Love and support of a family! This made me so happy that it made me shed a few tears to know that when you needed help you had it! Remember the lord is there to help and he did!
