Animal Project

katharyn had to do a project in Science showing how an animal will adapt to their environmnet.
They had to select a "typical" animal, place it in an "atypical" environment and tell how it would adapt to it's environment. They chose to do a "rainforest" with trees that were different colors--so the sloth would not be able to blend with its surroundings. Since the new "Seusical" trees are there now a new preditor has moved in that likes to eat the sloth. Traditionally the sloth is very slow---so their sloth grew an extra finger and now it can move pretty quickly! He's a cute sloth. Kat sewed it together just using fishing line. It was stiff enough to go in and out of the fabric. I thought they did pretty good.... The green stuff on top is the "canapy of their forest and he is hanging from one of the branches of the Seusical tree....
